Men's Medicine

MEN'S MEDICINE
SHOW NOTES

So, today is a bit different, were going to hear from two men, Nass and Lino. Both familiar with the struggle of mental health issues, rock bottoms and suicide.
First we hear from Nass, a young father from the Gold Coast. Nass is Maori, works as a labourer, he’s big, burly, tattooed and handsome. He doesn’t fit the stereotype of someone that is fighting mental illness. And that’s the point. There is no one type of man that fits a stereotype. Nass bravely shares his story with us today.
Then we hear from Lino. Lino is the creator of Men’s Medicine, a business that focuses on healing men through community, nature, breath and ritual based walks. Men like Nass have been deeply impacted by Lino and find real hope for the future. Lino shares with us the trauma that has led him to create a place for men to feel safe exploring their mental health.
